Tokyo, a few days after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Kyoko suddenly leaves her husband after having watched the earthquake news for five days on. Her husband Komura, at a loss, takes a week off and undertakes a journey up north to deliver a mysterious box to two young women. His colleague, Katagiri, a lonely unattractive debt collector, comes home one evening to find a frog, 2 meters tall, standing upright asking for his help to save Tokyo from another earthquake.

Through memories, dreams and fantasy, Kyoko, Komura and Katagiri, influenced by their vision of the earthquake - in the form of evil trees, a giant underground worm, a secret wish, a mysterious box and an endless dark corridor - try to relink with whom they really are.
